Magnom – Future Proofing of Hydraulic and Lubrication Systems

We must ‘Future Proof’ our design specifications and continue to inject new technology into our systems to improve performance, reliability & availability while reducing warranty & ownership cost.Magnom News

Have you ever wondered what causes failure of an otherwise healthy fluid system? Turns out the biggest risk for your hydraulic system, aside from heat, is microfine contaminants! These super sharp and incredibly hard particles circulate through hydraulic systems causing degradation of critical components.

Magnom – Future Proofing of Hydraulic and Lubrication Systems

Magnom filters have been solving this problem for over 80 years! They have the unsurpassed ability to remove microscopic ferrous particles from fluid systems regardless of where they are within the system. The patented core design ensures there is negligible pressure drop across the filter.

Thanks for a Great CMTS 2019!

Thank you to all those that took the time to meet with the Lynch Team at the Canadian Manufacturing Technologies Show this week! It was an exciting week with over 600+ exhibiting companies showing off the latest and greatest technologies.

Congratulations to Ken and Shriya on their successful conference sessions! They discussed Automation/Robotics: Canadian Small Medium Enterprise (SME) Competing Globally and The Hydraulic Brains of NASA’s Space Launch System Umbilical Arms Projects. Both topics were well received by the attendees. Great work team!

We look forward to seeing you at the next show or simply give us a call and drop by for a visit.

Magnom’s patented technology is used to produce inexpensive filtration units, typically fitted in addition to conventional mechanical mesh filters. Magnom units have an exceptionally long life and design which enables them to capture a surprisingly large mass of ferrous material, filtering particle sizes down to 0.07µ (1µ, or micron = one-millionth of a meter), while never impeding fluid flow. This makes them suitable for cleaning fluids on the inlet suction side of pumps, so they remove particles before they enter critical system components. The long life of Magnom filters makes them ideal for use where scheduling downtime and gaining access for major maintenance is an issue, such as offshore wind turbines and deep-sea trawlers.

Lynch’s Green Roof In Full Bloom This Summer

“As a family owned business, I feel  it is our personal, corporate and social responsibility to do what we can to protect the planet. There are many ways that we can lessen our carbon footprint and our impact on the environment. We can and do lead by example and in taking the initiative to create a Green Roof at our Headquarters we anticipate that other businesses will consider it and follow suit. There are many more Green infrastructure projects in our plans for the future. ” – Ernie Lynch

In 2015, Lynch Fluid Controls completed the adaptation of a 40,000 Ft2 vegetated green roof. In addition to reducing energy consumption, green roofs help manage storm water runoff, reduce carbon emissions and enhance biodiversity within our neighborhood.

Forging a U.S. Presence – How to Access the U.S.

BUFFALO, N.Y.—Lynch Fluid Controls Inc., established in 1987, is a manufacturing company based in Ontario, Canada, producing hydraulic and motion control products. They supply the aerospace, military, material handling, construction, and oil and gas industries. In Canada, they own multiple facilities totaling 63,000 sq. ft. and employing upwards of 90 employees.

Despite all that success, Lynch knows, like a great painting, his business is never finished. In 2017, he put his eyes on a new frontier: American expansion.

With the help of Invest Buffalo Niagara, in just a few months, Lynch USA, the U.S. subsidiary company, was born. Since, they have set up a warehousing and distributing space, with hopes to break into American manufacturing in phase two of their expansion. In each of their first 10 months, Lynch USA has hit targets, reaching 210% of their goal in June.
